The Toronto Style of stained glass was defined by William F. Potts for the Dominion Stained Glass Company between 1887 and 1892. Potts’s work was deeply abstract and experimental. Across hundreds if not thousands of designs, he never repeated himself, even though he used vary limited set of motifs, which he borrowed from quilting.
